On April 27, a vibrant Charity Football Tournament in memory of Vitalii Osinskyi and all fallen heroes took place at the “Spartak Arena” stadium. An atmosphere of genuine emotion and incredible support reigned in the stands that day.

Football fans donated 111,079.10 UAH to the collection boxes of the Zhytomyr Community Foundation – and this sum is not final! The fundraising continues through partner accounts.

The tournament was initiated and organized by FC “PRESTIGE” in cooperation with the Zhytomyr Community Foundation and partner organizations – to honor the memory of our heroes and support the soldiers who are currently defending Ukraine.

Four teams competed in the tournament:

• 1st Place – FC “PRESTIGE”

• 2nd Place – FC “STALEVI KRYLA” (Steel Wings)

• 3rd Place – FC “IGNIS”

• 4th Place – FC “OLIMP”

Iryna Kovalchuk, Head of the Department for Family, Youth, and Sports of the Zhytomyr City Council, shared her impressions:

“The football tournament in memory of Vitalii Osinskyi and all fallen heroes became a true sporting event for our city. ‘Spartak Arena’ has not seen so many guests and such a genuine emotional atmosphere in a long time. It is especially valuable that many children visited the stadium – they had the opportunity to communicate with famous footballers and get their autographs. We have always supported and will continue to support such events, as they unite the community, inspire youth, and help do important things for our country.“

Artem Chuprynskyi, captain of FC “PRESTIGE,” emphasized:

“We strive not only to play football but also to support our army through sports and honor the memory of those who gave their lives for Ukraine. We plan to continue holding such tournaments, engaging the military, and inspiring the community to do good deeds.“

Zhanna Solovyova, Head of the Board of the Zhytomyr Community Foundation, spoke about the special mission of the tournament:

“This tournament is an event about memory, gratitude, and the continuation of the struggle. It is important that every donation, every participation, is real support for our defenders. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who joined in. The team of the Zhytomyr Community Foundation will continue to work so that the memory of the heroes lives on and the assistance to those on the front line today does not stop.”

The spectator stands were completely full, and the atmosphere was one of drive and excitement. Various locations were operating during the media football event, and a charity auction and raffle of unique lots were held – including jerseys from sports legends and balls with their autographs.

Young fans were especially delighted by the raffle: by buying Lasunka ice cream, children automatically got a chance to win a bicycle from blogger Artem Sokhatskyi. The lucky winner was Davyd, who went home with a brand-new bicycle!
