The Zhytomyr Community Foundation purchased and transferred a BI6600-3 Holter ECG recorder along with software to the Communal Enterprise “Hospital #1” of the Zhytomyr City Council. The total cost of the equipment is 112,205 UAH.

“This is a very useful device for the diagnosis and monitoring of patients with cardiac pathology. There are many such patients – several people every day, dozens every week. The equipment is designed to detect dangerous cardiac rhythm disturbances. It is modern and timely, especially now, when the number of such patients in Ukraine has increased. The device allows us to record changes in the heart’s function over a day or several days, after which we analyze the accumulated information and detect possible pathologies. This is a very valuable tool for the work of the cardiology service,” noted Oleh Simikov, Head of the Department of Interventional Cardiology, Reperfusion Therapy and Interventional Radiology, cardiovascular surgeon, and interventional cardiologist.

The purchase of the equipment was made possible by the participation of the Zhytomyr Community Foundation in a grant competition within the framework of the “Med Aid” project from the Charitable Organization “National Network for Local Philanthropy Development” with the support of Global Giving.
