The transfer of equipment for servicemen of the 190th Training Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine took place at the Zhytomyr Community Foundation. It was purchased with a portion of the funds raised during the charity football tournament held in Zhytomyr at the end of April. The event was dedicated to the memory of the fallen Lieutenant Vitalii Osinskyi and all fallen warriors.
During the tournament, the organizers raised 400,000 hryvnias and decided to proportionally distribute the funds between two training centers – the 190th and the 199th. The first stage of procurement concerned the needs of the 190th Center. For 200,000 hryvnias, components for ground robotic systems were purchased, allowing the military to remotely control equipment from a safe distance.
Olena, the wife of the late Vitalii Osinskyi, thanked everyone who participated in organizing the tournament and cherishes the memory of her husband, and their son Mykhailo presented the equipment to the servicemen.
“I want to express my sincere condolences to the families of the fallen heroes. We also suffered losses in this damned war, and we are doing everything possible to reduce their number – through our developments, innovations, and remote solutions for the front line. I sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the fundraising, especially the football players. Thanks to you, we will be able to purchase something that will greatly help our guys at the front,” explained Zibert, a representative of the 190th Training Center of the AFU.
Zhanna Solovyova, Head of the Board of the Zhytomyr Community Foundation, emphasized the importance of this initiative:
“Just recently, a football tournament was held, initiated by the ‘Prestige’ team. And today, we have the result – we were able to transfer the necessary equipment to our defenders. We are grateful to everyone who supported the collection, and especially to the participating teams,” said Zhanna Solovyova.
The captain of “Prestige,” Artem Chuprynskyi, noted that the tournament was planned as a friendly match with the “Ignis” team but turned into a large charitable event:
“We had the idea to play against the media team ‘Ignis.’ And then we realized that besides the game, we could organize a charity event – to honor the memory of Vitalii Osinskyi and conduct a fundraiser for the military. We succeeded through joint efforts. We gathered a full stadium of spectators – which doesn’t happen often in Zhytomyr. We raised 400,000 hryvnias. We handled the task, and everything turned out great. First of all, I want to thank the military for giving us the opportunity to hold such events and play football. We want to make all our future matches and tournaments with a charitable component as well, and direct the funds to support the AFU,” said Artem Chuprynskyi.
The Zhytomyr Community Foundation team expresses separate gratitude to Humanitarian Nova Poshta for the free and prompt delivery of the purchased equipment.
