Zhytomyr Community Foundation Shared Experience with Internally Displaced Persons

In Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU), 13 May 2016, was the conference on the topic: “Internally Displaced Persons: integration or differentiation?” that organized by Institute of Leadership and Management UCU with support of The BEARR Trust and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Ukraine.
On this conference, we announced the results of implementation our Stabilization program of development micro-business for internally displaced people and local communities in Zhytomyr region that Zhytomyr Community Foundation realized with support of International Organization for Migration (IOM) and UKAID. It was said about the program, Foundation and our partners – IOM and UKAID, thaks to the cooperation with which we were able to improve life of 138 persons in Zhytomyr region, and strengthen the professional potential of Foundation.
During the conference, we had an opportunity to get acquainted with colleagues from other regions who works in the same area, to exchange experience within the project realization, to discuss the areas of further cooperation.
One of the main questions is the search of opportunities to provide minimal loans for housing for internally displaced persons”, – tells Zhanna Solovyova, Head of the Board of Zhytomyr Community Foundation.
